On February 4th all of the founding members to date met with Bryan and Chad from Caddis Collaborative to talk about our initial vision for buildings, common amenities:  hopes, wishes, dreams — oh boy was it fun!  We focused on the area in the south pastures to build the village.  Initial water and septic tests for the properties indicate that we can plan for 10 homes initially, plus community building.  At random, we decided on a distribution of 5 larger footprint homes (3br) and 5 smaller ones (2br) to appeal to a range of potential members.  For awhile, this distribution can change as more members come on board.  We also had strong support for a swimming pool, garden, and quiet meditation spaces.    The garages will be located to shield the homes and central courtyard from the prevailing winds as much as possible.  Firetruck turn-around access was accommodated for, as our mentors assured us is a requirement for any new community.

In the end it became even more clear that we have a great partner to work with in Caddis, and as a group we could feel a distinct strengthening of our bonds, getting to know more about each others priorities, hopes and fears.
